Beginning in this week, parents can claim a maximum of

$14,890 in yearly tax credits - including both federal and state credits

In conjunction with the official start of tax season on January 23,

parents may be eligible to claim a variety of tax credits and deductions.

When filing your taxes, it's a good idea to carefully review all

documents to make sure you aren't missing any important tax credits.

It's likely parents have heard of credits such as the

Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) or the Child Tax Credit (CTC),

But there are others they may be eligible for.

In addition, taxpayers claiming children may receive a larger

Return or a smaller tax bill depending on their income.

Our list of tax credits and deductions is a great resource

for parents who use tax software or prepare their own taxes.

It is important to note that all 2022 tax returns

and deadline requests are due on April 18.
