The IRS will begin accepting tax refunds in days as part of a new tax refund tool

With the IRS set to accept returns in just a few days, 

Americans can now track tax refunds online with the help of a SIMPLE tool.

Americans across the country will begin filing their individual 

tax returns on January 23, which officially kicks off tax season.

It is common for Americans to look forward to seeing their tax refunds once they file their taxes.

You can easily find out when to expect your refund by 

Using the Where's My Refund tool on the IRS website.


Generally, tax refunds should be issued within 21 days

 of the filing date, according to the IRS.

It may take longer if you file on paper or your return requires additional review.

Earned income tax credits and additional child tax credit 

Refunds will also not be available until mid-February.

Entering your Social Security number or taxpayer 

ID number will allow you to use the Where's My Refund tool of the IRS.
