In South Carolina, you have nine days left to claim checks

worth up to $800 as part of the stimulus program

Residents of South Carolina have nine days to file

their 2021 taxes and receive a rebate of up to $800.

Tax rebates will be issued to recipients in March.

The state's Department of Revenue says it is available to

all South Carolina residents who file their taxes by Feb. 15.

An applicant's rebate depends on their tax liability

the amount of state income tax they owe for the 2021 tax year.

If residents have an outstanding individual income tax bill with

the department, their payments may be less than their tax liability.

There will be a deduction from the rebate amount for this outstanding amount.

The rebate amount will be equal to the resident's tax liability

if the tax liability is less than $800. There will be an

allowance of $800 for anyone whose tax liability exceeds $800.
