The deadline for claiming direct payments of
$450 to $1,500 for millions of New Jersey homeowners
and renters is in less than a month.
A small number of affordable NJ communities have been set up
for homeowners and renters under the ANCHOR program.
As a way to reduce the financial burden of property taxes,
Governor Phil Murphy and the legislature of the state of New Jersey created it.
There will be an allowance of up to $1,500 for
Nearly 1.2 million homeowners and payments of
up to $450 for nearly 900,000 renters under the program.
Residents of New Jersey who are eligible to
apply online, over the phone, or by mail
Must submit their applications by February 28.
