Update on the stimulus program: California will send
a direct payment of up to $1,050 in just seven days
All California taxpayers will receive their final Middle Class Tax Refund wave by
the end of this week, completing the payment’s run and completing the payment.
All recipients who have changed their address since filing
their 2020 tax return will receive a debit card in this final wave of
Payments by Feb. 14. California Franchise Tax Board reports
that refund payments have been going out to recipients since October 2022.
California residents who filed their tax returns by Oct. 15, 2021 are eligible for this refund.
Upon receiving their debit card in the mail, recipients should allow two weeks.
Joint filers must have had adjusted gross incomes of less than
$150,000 in order to qualify for the full payment of $1,050.
For single filers without dependents who had an adjusted gross
income between $125,001 and $250,000 for the
2020 tax year, the smallest refund amount is $200.
